Track record

Former COO of Tabs. I built its creator program to 100M monthly social impressions, and the paid ad engine alongside it. The numbers below come from videos that program produced.

Same playbook for Sensate: a small creator roster, a claims sheet, one variable per test and losers killed early. The category is different. I have not run a wearable for nervous-system relaxation, so the first month is for learning what viewers believe about calm and sleep.

Why now

  • 1520

    Reviews in the product data

Sensate's product data lists 1520 reviews at 4.0 of 5. Creators have real feedback to point at, and we confirm which count is current before any caption uses one.

    Published
  • 4.6 / 5

A higher rating on the page

The page itself shows "4.6 / 5 from 5,000+ reviews". The two counts differ, so the claims sheet carries one agreed figure.

    Published
  • 90 days

A trial that is easy to film

Sensate offers a 90-day money-back guarantee. A creator can end every video on it without promising an outcome.

    Published
  • 65 million

    Peaceful minutes delivered

Sensate says it has delivered 65 million peaceful minutes. That is brand wording, so it goes on the sheet only after confirmation.

Part 4 of 14

Principles

  1. One number to protect

Target cost per 1,000 views is $1 (Proposed). The simulator starts at $5.74. Every creator test is judged against that gap.

  2. One variable per test

Same product, same length, change only the opening line. Losers are killed early and winners enter the hook library.

  3. Claims sheet first

Creators quote only lines from Sensate's own site. A felt experience is fine. A promised outcome is not.

  4. Cap the spend

Monthly ceiling is $15,000 (Proposed) with all ten creators at the top cap, bonuses excluded. Nobody is paid past their band.

#briefs

Briefs, drafts, reviews and the weekly numbers

Illustrative
  1. MartaMon 8:30 AM

This week's brief: Sensate 2, one hook per video, ten minutes on the sternum, headphones on. Seven videos due by Friday. Pick two formats from the board.

  2. NinaTue 11:15 AM

Can I say Sensate fixes my sleep?

No. Use the claims sheet lines only. Tell us what you felt after ten minutes, not what it does for everyone.

  3. Weekly botAppMon 9:00 AM

Report posted: videos by format, views, cost per 1,000 views against the $1 target, and the three hooks to kill this week.

  4. MartaWed 2:40 PM

Draft sent back: the hook promises calm to everyone. Cut it and open on the lanyard shot instead. Then resend in #drafts.

Reshooting tonight, new hook on the lanyard.

  5. Weekly botAppThu 6:05 PM

Nina's bedtime video passed 100,000 views, organic. The $50 flat bonus is queued, one per creator per month.

  6. MartaFri 10:00 AM

Check before posting: does the caption end on the 90-day money-back guarantee, and does it avoid any health outcome? Reply yes in #claims-check.

The messages illustrate the working channel, with invented people: briefs go out on Monday, claims questions get an answer the same day, and nothing posts without the check.

Part 5 of 14

Formats

  1. Bedtime ritual

    Brief 01

    Bedtime ritual

“I put this on my chest every night for ten minutes”

Lying in bed, Sensate 2 on the breastbone, headphones on. One take, end on the lights going off.

  2. Price and no subscription

    Brief 02

    Price and no subscription

“Sensate 2 is $299.00 and there's no subscription”

Desk shot, device in hand, price on screen. Show the box and say what is included.

  3. Plus soundscapes

    Brief 03

    Plus soundscapes

“50+ premium soundscapes came with mine for a year”

Screen recording of the app next to the device. Scroll the soundscapes, pick one, press play.

  4. Lanyard routine

    Brief 04

    Lanyard routine

“Lanyard on, breastbone, headphones. That's the routine”

Handheld, medium shot, one continuous take of the three steps. No cuts, no music over the voice.

  5. 90-day trial

    Brief 05

    90-day trial

“I get 90 days to decide, or my money back”

Talking to camera in daylight, device visible. Say what you tried and when. Close on the guarantee.

Every product line in a video comes off the claims sheet word for word, for example “Relax in as little as 10 minutes”, “Free shipping”, “No subscription required”. Product names are said as printed.

Part 6 of 14

Recruiting

Four sources in

  • Sleep and stress communities

Creators who already film bedtime routines, wind-down habits or desk resets, and talk about both in plain words.

  • Wearable and tracker users

People who post readiness or heart rate data and would test a device against their own numbers over a trial.

  • Parents and households

Creators filming family evenings, where a ten-minute wind-down fits a real scene on camera.

  • Affiliate or ambassador page

No affiliate or ambassador page was found on the site, so recruiting starts with direct outreach and one clear brief.

Five filters, fewer each step

  1. 1Fit the routine

Their feed already shows evenings, sleep habits or stress management.

  2. 2No health promises

Past posts do not claim cures or outcomes for products.

  3. 3Plain voice

They talk to one person, not a crowd. No hype words.

  4. 4Seven a week

They can film seven videos a week for six weeks without a break.

  5. 5Take a note

They revise a draft in a day when a claim is flagged.

Part 7 of 14

Who we pick

  • Bedtime user

Films a wind-down routine every night, wants a screen-free ritual.

    Likely product: Sensate 2

  • Soundscape fan

Likes ambient audio and app tours, shows the library on screen.

    Likely product: Sensate 2 Plus

  • Couple or flatmates

Two people, two devices, one evening routine to compare.

Likely product: Sensate Device 2 Pack

  • Parent of a young kid

Shows a family evening and what the device sits next to.

Likely product: Sensate Device 4 Pack

  • Tracker user

Posts readiness data and tests a device against it.

Likely product: Sensate 2 - with Plus

  • Meditation skeptic

Never stuck with meditation, tries the placement with no experience.

    Likely product: Sensate 2 Device

Left off, every time

Always left out: creators who give medical advice, who use before-and-after health claims, or who target minors. Never say it cures or treats anxiety or sleep problems. Category rule: nobody speaks as a doctor or therapist.

Never said

Each one with the reason it stays out.

  • Never say sensate cures my anxiety

Health outcome. Nothing on the site says that.

  • Never say sensate treats insomnia

Treatment claim. Only the brand may use its own wording.

  • Never say it replaces therapy or medication

Medical advice a creator cannot give.

  • Never say it works for everyone in ten minutes

Turns a brand line into a promise for all viewers.

  • Never say better than any meditation app

Comparison the site does not support.

  • Never say doctor approved

    Endorsement nobody provided.

  • Never say your sleep will be fixed for good

Guarantee of a health outcome. The site guarantees a refund, not results.

To confirm with the brand

Held until someone on the brand side signs off.

  • -48% stress

Study figure. Confirm exact wording and study context with Sensate before any creator quotes it.

  • 92% say they feel calmer after just one session

Brand survey line. Confirm it is current and who was asked before use.

Part 10 of 14

Pay

  • Starter

    $300–600

    a month, by band

Starter band for new creators with a small feed, proving seven videos a week with Sensate 2.

    Bonus at the cap: $300

  • Standard

    $500–1,000

    a month, by band

Standard band for creators who hold hook quality and revise drafts within a day.

    Bonus at the cap: $500

  • Premium

    $800–1,500

    a month, by band

Premium band for creators whose videos already beat the $1 target in the simulator.

    Bonus at the cap: $700

  1. Under 100,000 views

    $0

The base pay covers the work.

  2. 100,000 views

    +$50 flat

    Whatever the band.

  3. 1,000,000 views

    Top-up to your cap

Bonus = band cap − base pay.

  • One bonus per creator per month, no stacking across videos.
  • The $50 flat bonus is paid per video once it passes 100,000 views.
  • Organic views only. Boosted or paid views never count toward the threshold.
  • No bonus on a video that broke the claims sheet or the category rule.

Starter: $600 cap − $300 fee = $300 bonus; Standard: $1,000 cap − $500 fee = $500 bonus; Premium: $1,500 cap − $800 fee = $700 bonus.

The bonus pays for reach after the work is done, never instead of it. One bonus per creator per calendar month keeps it an incentive and keeps the program cost predictable.

Simulator

Start: 303 videos a month, 1.8M views, $10,050 cost, $5.74 per 1,000 views against $1. To close it, 4.2% of videos go viral or the median reaches 21,711 views (Assumptions on sliders).

Above the $1 target at these inputs.

To hit $1, the roster needs about 10.1M views a month. That means about 4.2% of videos going viral, or a median near 22K views per video. That is why the day-90 gate exists: keep the accounts that clear it, replace the rest.

Proposed, not measured. Views = videos × median, breakouts at 10× the median, viral at 750K. Bonus: +$50 for a viral video, one per creator per month.

The math. Videos a month = 10 creators × 7 a week × 52 ÷ 12 = 303. Views per video = (1 − 4% − 0.5%) × 1,500 + 4% × 10 × 1,500 + 0.5% × 750,000 = 5,782.5; 303 videos × 5,782.5 = 1.8M views a month. Cost = 10 × $1,000 = $10,000 base + 1 bonus × $50 = $10,050. Cost per 1,000 views = $10,050 ÷ 1.8M × 1,000 = $5.74 against a $1.00 target. To hit the target, either 4.2% of videos go viral or the median video reaches 21,711 views, other inputs held.

Move the sliders and the label recalculates. The result is only as good as the guesses behind it, so the median views, the share of breakouts and the share of viral videos are marked as Assumptions until the first month of posts replaces them.

Two creators a week up to ten. One variable per test across the five formats. Losers killed early.

  3. Month 2

Cut to what beats the target

Keep the formats under the $1 target in the simulator. Move weaker creators down a band.

  4. Month 3

Hook library holds the winning openers. Premium band goes only to creators beating the target.

Category rules

Rules for a calm and sleep wearable

Sensate sells calm, stress relief and sleep. Creators speak from their own routine and never promise a result.

  • Experience, not outcome

Say what you felt after ten minutes. Do not say what Sensate does for others or will do for the viewer.

  • Brand wording only

Health-adjacent lines come from the claims sheet, attributed to Sensate, copied word for word.

  • No medical voice

No diagnoses, no advice about medication, therapy or conditions. Point viewers to their doctor for that.

  • Study figures need sign-off

Any study number stays out of creator scripts until Sensate confirms the exact wording and context.

  • Disclose every post

Each paid post carries a clear paid-partnership label and the creator's own words, not a script read aloud.

  • No minors in claims

Children can appear in a family scene, but nobody makes health claims about them or for them.

The brand’s legal team sets the final rules. This is the operating floor I’d start from, not legal advice.
